I had a better run than most with this as it took a while for it to die but it has died at last. I never even got to unlock all the regions. UPDATE!!! 93 hours of play time and the game has officially quit! That's right. That's about what it's worth if you play it on a PC. If you must get this, wait till the price drops to about $10.00.

I give it 2 stars for graphics because they did an amazing job with the landscape and overall feel but that's about it. Had I known that they changed the traditional Big Game Hunter format, I wouldn't have bough this.especially not at this price. Sometimes, the game won't load at all on the first try. Animals don't always drop when hit, bullets are shown to penetrate the animal but then just miraculously glance off without a trace of blood and the 'guide' keeps repeating the same lame 'tips' over and over. Oh and.BUGS! This game has a lot of bugs. I'm sure it would play a lot better and with more fun on a game console with a light gun.

You have to beat the Pro Hunts in order to unlock another hunting region but the catch is that they are so difficult to beat that it takes the fun out of it.Īll in all, they tried to hard to make this a real hunting game.to the point of it being boring rather than exciting. The wind is constantly in your back for some reason which is very annoying. If you don't get an immediate kill shot, you get penalized gear credits that took forever to earn. Unlik other Big Game Hunter games, in this version the vitals of the animals do not highlight when you take aim so you have to guess where to shoot in order to get a clean kill shot. Incredible graphics, sound and very realistic animal responses and behavior.Īctivision tried so hard to make this hyper realistic that they dropped the ball on making it FUN! For one, you have to play the same region forever in order to accumulate enough gear credits to actually buy the kind of weapons needed to get through the various challenges.
